Owner occupancy in the central coast strip between Main Beach and Kirra is set to trend upwards over the coming years, with the introduction of a new generation of apartments and homes suited to permanent residents.

A recent article in Ocean Road Magazine by David Higgins talks about the recent shift towards home-style apartments and housing along the Gold Coast’s coastal strip, away from the previous predominance of apartment buildings and high rises developed purely for investors.

A higher number of Gold Coast locals are opting to purchase properties in the more popular beachside areas between Main Beach and Kirra and not just as investments, but to live in. The increasing trend in owner-occupiers has increased demand for developers to adapt to this market and change apartments designs to suit this market, such as the Cerulean in Main Beach which has adopted larger apartment designs with more bedrooms, more storage space, better kitchen and bathroom facilities, top security and a range of amenities to suit residents.
